Purpose
To prioritise literacy as a key element in the areas of academic achievement and social inclusion.
- To take effective measures which ensure equality of opportunity in obtaining the necessary skills to participate fully in society
- To promote a literate community which provides opportunities for pupils to make sense of their experiences and to make meaningful connections with their histories, cultures and communities
